I slept in today. I didn’t mean to, but I obviously needed it. Unfortunatly, this meant very little game time before work, so several things didn’t get done. No name for the bear still, no arena matches played (Sorry Sheru), and no dailies completed… And nothing really blogworthy, so I went hunting for something.
First off, I’m adding Zoei to the blog roll. She hasn’t updated since mid-December, but I figured I’d add her on the chance that she might actually do so… And the fact that she’s a hunter from Moon Guard like myself (albeit from Alliance side) and the first blogger I’ve found from my server.
Next: The ghost wolf – tamable no more. Blizzard, once again, in their infinite wisdom makes a unique looking pet untamable that once was. You can add this to the list of pets they’ve done this too – one of the ravagers from Azuremyst, the Amani bear.
And lastly, One Among Many posted this question a few days ago: Knowing what you know now, what would you do differently if you just started the game all over again for the first time? If you were able to keep the knowledge you now have.
I definitely wouldn’t go with Engineering AND Jewelcrafting right off, with no gathering profession. On my very first character, I went with Skinning/Leatherworking and I was always strapped for money – WTF was I thinking when I picked up two of the biggest money sinks in the game as my first crafting professions with this character?
I probably would have spent a little more time at each x8/x9 level PvPing, stockpiling honor and marks for when I hit 70. Instead, I only got what I needed, and moved on. I also made a few mistakes when purchasing said PvP gear, that ended up being replaced only days after the purchase. Never. Again.
I would do my best to level cooking/fishing as I levelled. Right now I’m sitting around 200 with both, and it’s crippling me in the sense that I could be making specialized food for my pet, instead of buying it off the AH for 20-30 gold a stack or relying on friends to supply me with it. Not to mention the +stam/+agi/+hit foods that are now available… With a longer duration than old world foods.
Lastly, I really should have worked harder on levelling both pets – Vree and Taugar – together, so that I had more of a choice of pets depending on what I wanted to do.
Aside from that, I don’t think I would change much else. I’ve definitely enjoyed my progression from 1-70.

Would you look at that. Another Moon Guardian, and a Hunter, at that? Too bad you’re Horde, but I forgive you. I’ll keep an eye out for you.
And of course, thanks for the mention! The moment I take the time to post once more, I’ll be sure to return the favour.
